Today an international agreement on drug policy was signed by Sweden, USA, Russia, United Kingdom and Italy. The joint statement was signed at the World Forum Against Drugs in Stockholm.
 
In an op-Ed in the Swedish daily Expressen today, Maria Larsson, minister in charge of the Swedish drug policy, states that Sweden and several other allies are intensifying the global fight against drugs. Maria Larsson will be on Swedish TV4 at 6.45 a.m. Monday May 20 and on Swedish National Radio (P1) at 7:40 a.m.
