The 5th National Youth Summit on Drugs and Substance Prevention organized by African Youths Initiative on Crime Prevention

The 5th National Youth Summit on Drugs and Substance Prevention organized by African Youths Initiative on Crime Prevention (AYICP), 30th-31st October, 2019 at the former SGF Conference Hall, Federal Secretariat, Abuja, was a huge success considering the number of participants and resource persons that graced the event. The summit titled Youth, Drugs and the Achievement of SDG 3, 4 and 16' was very much attended by youths from across Nigeria and from different national groups. The summit was equally graced by government officials like the Secretary to the Government of the Federation fully represented, Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Chairman Senate Committee on Drugs and other resource persons and academias.

The two days event was hosted discussion on various drug issues and training of young people on drug abuse prevention approaches.

African Youths Initiative on Crime Prevention thank the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, US Embassy, United Nations Office on Drug and Crime, European Union, Secretary to Government of the Federation, Healthy Thinking International, Sweden, Community Intervention Network on Drugs, Civil Society Network on Drugs, International Society for Substance Use Professionals, Community Agenda for Peace and International Centre for Leadership Development in Nigeria for their support and partnership.
